Keeping It Local- One Year In

OK, so we’ve been here over a year now, how are we doing with our commitment to using local and sustainable products? This has been a challenge for us, because we are also committed to keeping our menu affordable. Does that mean we have to buy crappy food in bulk from big distributors? No, but it does mean that we’ve had to do a lot of legwork (and Googlework) to find good local products that we can all afford. Here’s a partial list of some of our vendors and products:
Acme Bread
Queso Salazar (queso fresco, Brentwood)
Farmhouse Culture(sauerkraut, Santa Cruz)
Tcho Chocolate
La Finca Tortilleria
Niman Ranch
Golden Gate Meats

Del Monte Meats
Ports Seafood
Cooks Company
Petaluma Poultry
Wild Boar Farms
Linden St. Brewery
Drake’s Brewery
Thirsty Bear
Urban Legend Cellars
Periscope Cellars
Sutton Cellars
St. George Spirits
COR Olive Oil
We’re stoked to still be here to help support these and other(apologies to those I forgot) great local food producers. All you backyard farmers and food startups, give us a call, eh?
